“Kevin and I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the awesome job you did DJing our August 14 wedding! You were simply the BEST! So many of our guests remarked on how great you were at keeping everyone involved and interested! Thanks so much for taking charge of our night so we could enjoy ourselves. We had the BEST time that night thanks to your great entertainment! If we were getting married again, you’d be first on our list. We’ll definitely recommend you to friends. You have a great gift for making people laugh and picking the perfect music! Thanks for being our DJ. It truly was a pleasure working with you. Thanks again.”

Meet your DJ
My name is Greg Stielstra and I am Reception Perfection’s exclusive DJ entertainer. I have personally entertained at more than 1200 wedding receptions. I have a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, have won awards for public speaking, worked on-air at six radio stations and have even performed stand-up comedy in professional clubs.

No mystery DJ’s
With other companies, you may not know who your DJ will be until they show up. Will they be an experienced pro, or a rookie playing their first reception? When you hire Reception Perfection, you know I will be your DJ.

Not just a human jukebox
Most DJ’s are just a human jukebox.  They can play songs,  but can’t help manage your reception—forcing you or your guests into that role. But, you should enjoy your party, not have to manage it.

Reception Perfection can manage your reception—making all the announcements, acting as the emcee, and leading the fun for you and your guests. This is especially helpful at wedding receptions where I can announce the wedding party introduction, prayers, toasts, bouquet and garter tosses, the cake cutting and by offering entertaining ideas for the bride and groom kisses.  My customer’s endorsements show how much they love my approach.

I can keep the party moving by leading novelty dances or teaching a line dances. I use these interactive activities at your discretion and never steal the spotlight from the guests of honor. If you prefer a subtler approach, I can simply play great music, song-after-song.

You make the plan. I make it happen.
Our free pre-event consultation gives you something most companies don’t—a chance to meet and get-to-know your entertainer before your event. I reserve days and times each month for meeting with clients, so you can communicate music interests, special requests—every detail of your event from start to finish. It ensures I understand exactly what you want so you’ll feel more confident.

My music library has millions of songs from every era and genre. I can keep your party moving with dance-pop, rock, rap, big-band, swing, oldies, polkas, country, jazz, adult contemporary, easy listening, all the classics, novelty dances and more. I’m ready with the latest dance hit or that special song for an older relative’s request.

3-Way Music Mix
It takes more than lots of songs to make a great event. How you weave them together matters too. My exclusive 3-way music mix keeps the dance floor packed.

I place request forms on your guests’ tables at the beginning of the night, so they can request their favorites. I even bring multiple colors to match your decorations. When people request a song, they’re volunteering to dance.

I collect your requests from the Reception Planner and during our Pre-Event Consultation.

Then I combine your requests with your guests’ and mix in my extensive experience to create a music mix that fills the floor. The right songs, at the right time, in the right order, that’s reception perfection.

How to Choose Dinner Music for Your Wedding Reception

Music plays an important role in a successful wedding reception and that role begins well before the dancing starts.  The right music can enhance other parts of your event like the cocktail reception and dinner. Done right, it can even contribute to better dance participation later on.   Take it from the top It’s best to have music …
